Looking for a detailed description on how to adjust my valves.They are slapping like crazy. And needing to to this today .I`m hoping someone will give up the info before 5pm thanks all.   oh its a 85`   720    z24    stock all the round

Sorry just found this.

Warm motor for at least 20 min and remove valve cover.

Set motor to TDC compression stroke on #1. Look at the #1 valves, the lobes should be pointing downward and the valves fully closed. The rocker arms should not be on the lobe  but on the lowest part of the cam.

There are 8 valves to set and half of them can be set in this position.

From the front, set valve 1, 2, 4, 6

Rotate the motor exactly ONE turn. Check the cylinder #4 valves are both closed and the cam lobes are pointing downward.

Set valves 3, 5, 7, and 8. DONE.

How easy was that?
