What is the main reason you'd like to join 720World? (dont just say "because I own a 720", if you do this you will not be approved)
I just bought a Nissan Sunrader motorhome, and I am keenly interested in keeping it alive. It is built on a 1984 Nissan 720 longbed with aftermarket duallies on the back to support the load of the 2-piece fiberglass cabin. The best part is an original engine with less than 50k miles on it. The worst part is that the vehicle looks like it sat in a field for a couple decades, so it has a few issues (incuding mice!). Just drove it home to Alaska from LA (3,400mi.), so it's already proven to be a reliable rig, but keeping it alive and modifying it for a life in Alaska may take a little extra input. That's why I'm here!
What is your profession? (not required, just if you want to share your knowledge)
Arhaeologist, artist, nurse, and a few other things on the side.
I am sooooo not a mechanic, but I can do a few things (oil, filters, plugs and wires, body work and fiberglassing, other small stuff). I am a quick study, and really want to learn everything I can about my new toy.
How many 720's or other Nissan trucks do you own? What years and types?
Just the one, a Sunrader Motorhome built on a 1984 Nissan 720 longbed (see above)
What modifications have you done to your truck(s)
Still new to me, but the big mod I can see that's already done is the free-floating 1 ton dualie axle,
What modifications do you still plan to do to your truck(s)
I would like to upgrade the shocks, and also see if there is a way to gain a little clearance on this rig despite it's bulk. It is going to go places only an Archaeologist would be dumb enough to take a motorhome, so a brushbar and winch may also be in it's future...
How many miles would you travel to attend an all 720 truck meet?
as far as needed
