A crack in the cast iron exhaust manifold. I want to know if the headers are worth the investment?

Thank you for your information, I didn't want to waste money on something not need. I got a JB weld patch on it for now but will order a stock manifold soon. Thanks again.

I ran a header for nearly 20 years. Didn't rust out but leaked was noisy and didn't add power. Stock manifold is the way to go. Running a stock on my ka swap even though it came with a header. Don't bother with headers.

Headers:
Don't always fit and need 'adjustments' when installing.
Gaskets leak at head or downpipe.
Rust out unless you spend $100 more for coating.
Noisy/loud.
Radiate more heat under the hood.
You pay $50-$75 per horsepower gained, a very bad investment for something you won't even feel when driving around. The Z24 makes it's power at speeds where the exhaust system isn't a limiting factor.

Save your money and get a NEW 32/36 direct replacement Weber carb from Redline. The Z24 is a large motor with an undersize carb and responds well to something slightly larger. You'll definitely feel this when driving around.

Header's for our 720's are a waste of money,no more horsepower, stock is the best way.Pacesetter's are garbage.
